Mogadishu, September 30 / BNA / Somali President Dr. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud stated that the coming months will witness the start of oil exploration and the development of economic infrastructure, including roads, airports, and ports, in addition to establishing a satellite launch base, the first of its kind in Africa.
The Somali National News Agency (SONNA) reported that this was announced during the opening of the seventh session of the House of the People and the Senate yesterday, Monday, where the president emphasized the importance of completing the draft constitution, strengthening democracy, and stabilizing the state.
The Somali president reviewed the government’s achievements in security, land liberation, economic growth, political stability, conflict resolution, and strengthening international relations.
He stressed his commitment to dialogue with officials and citizens of different views to achieve national unity and solidarity, affirming continued support for political stability in the country within the framework of the parliament and senate’s role and the pursuit of national peace.
