The Ministry of Interior received a certificate of appreciation for developing the Civil Protection Administration building in Alexandria and the Dokki Police Department building in Giza during its participation in the National Urban Coordination Authority’s competition for the best practices in preserving urban and architectural heritage for the year 2025.

The honor comes in recognition of the Ministry of Interior’s keenness to preserve the architectural and heritage value of police buildings when starting their development, maintaining their heritage identity and visual character. The heritage character was preserved in harmony with the surrounding environment, adding an aesthetic and human dimension to the security facilities without neglecting their heritage and aesthetic value.

The ministry implemented a comprehensive plan to upgrade police buildings that integrates the modern urban character with the authentic Egyptian architectural style, within the framework of the ministry’s comprehensive vision to provide advanced police services in an integrated environment that preserves the dignity of citizens and enhances their sense of security and belonging.

This is part of the Ministry of Interior’s policy to preserve heritage and restore the heritage and architectural value of police buildings, as the ministry has restored a number of police buildings with heritage nature to maintain their architectural and heritage value and their surrounding environment.
