The US Treasury announced on Monday the official removal of sanctions regulations on Syria from the Federal Register, with the decision set to take effect tomorrow, Tuesday. The ministry stated that President Donald Trump confirmed that the circumstances in Syria have changed and that positive measures have been taken by the new government led by President Ahmed Al-Shara. It also affirmed that sanctions will remain in place against human rights violators linked to chemical weapons and terrorist organizations.
