The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the statements and positions made by the extremist minister Smotrich, especially those related to inciting calls to deepen settlement and annex the occupied West Bank, in a continuous and direct threat to the opportunity to establish the Palestinian state on the ground according to the two-state solution principle, and his open incitement against the Palestinian National Authority and the people’s rights to their homeland.

In a statement on Wednesday, the ministry considered these statements as an extension of a series of inciting calls practiced by several Israeli officials, falling within the framework of committing more crimes of settlement, annexation, extermination, and displacement against the Palestinian people, including the seizure of 455 dunams of land in the governorates of Nablus and Qalqilya, a house in Hebron, the old Hebron municipality building, a school, and ongoing demolition crimes.

It affirmed that all unilateral illegal measures and plans by the occupation to change the historical, political, and legal reality in the occupied West Bank, including Jerusalem, do not establish any right for the occupation over the occupied Palestinian land, and are considered illegal and null from their foundation, disregarding the international consensus rejecting the occupation and settlement crimes in all their forms.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry is following up with countries and components of the international community on the repercussions and dangers of these raids, calling for imposing more sanctions and measures to force the occupation government to stop its violent targeting of the Palestinian people and to compel it to implement the international peace will.
