The British newspaper “The Guardian” quoted Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Yermak saying: “Putin continues to deceive everyone by making previously unacceptable offers.”
The minister added that only increased pressure can force Russia to “take the peace process seriously in the end.”
The Ukrainian minister’s statement came in response to Putin’s proposal during a press conference following his visit to China, where he invited Zelensky to come to Moscow if he was ready to negotiate.
Putin also questioned, “Is there any point to these meetings?”
In a related context, former U.S. President Donald Trump expressed in an interview with “Daily Caller” that he believes a summit involving the leaders of the United States, Russia, and Ukraine will take place, but he doubted the possibility of a separate bilateral meeting between Putin and Zelensky.
