The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth announced that the Israeli government has approved an agreement to end the war in Gaza and release all hostages within 24 hours, completing the withdrawal of the Israeli army and beginning the release of hostages.

Earlier, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, who arrived at the cabinet meeting to discuss approval of the agreement, saying: “We are in the midst of a decisive development. Over the past two years, we have struggled to achieve the goals of our war, and one of our most important goals is to bring back all the hostages – and we will achieve that.”

He added: “We would not have achieved this without the exceptional help from the President and his team. They have worked tirelessly with Ron (Dermer) and his team. Our team. These efforts, along with the courage of our soldiers who entered Gaza, created a joint military and diplomatic pressure that led to isolating Hamas. I believe this is what brought us to this point.”
