Dr. Mamdouh Mohamed Mahmoud stated that the visit came at a highly sensitive time to reaffirm Egypt’s firm stance rejecting any attempts at forced or voluntary displacement of Palestinians, considering it a historic crime that cannot be accepted under any circumstances and a direct targeting of the Palestinian cause. He added that the Rafah crossing will remain a lifeline connecting the Egyptian and Palestinian peoples, embodying the deep historical ties between Egypt and Palestine.

The visit represents a true embodiment of Egypt’s humanitarian and national commitment towards the Gaza Strip, which faces an unprecedented humanitarian disaster due to ongoing Israeli aggression and the imposed siege on its residents.
