The Civil Defense in Gaza confirmed that the Israeli army launched several strikes early Thursday across various parts of the Palestinian territory, in shelling that came after U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Israel and Hamas had reached a ceasefire agreement.
Mohammed Al-Mugheer, an official in the Civil Defense, told AFP that “since the announcement of the proposed ceasefire formula in Gaza tonight, there have been several explosions, especially in northern Gaza,” pointing specifically to a “series of intense raids” targeting Gaza City.
