The Israeli army foiled an attempt to smuggle weapons into Israel across the border with Egypt using a drone.
The Israeli army spokesperson announced that surveillance detected yesterday, Saturday, in the Paran Brigade area, a drone crossing from the western border into Israeli territory in an attempt to smuggle weapons.
The spokesperson added that Israeli soldiers found and confiscated the drone and the weapons.
The weapons were handed over to security forces to complete the procedures.
Separately, Israeli police, supported by the army and border guards, arrested 10 suspects in various areas during the past week and seized various weapons including M16 and M4 rifles, pistols, dozens of magazines, hundreds of bullets, an explosive device, and more.
