Ziad al-Nakhala, Secretary-General of the Islamic Jihad Movement in Palestine, said on Monday that US President Donald Trump’s plan to stop the war in Gaza, approved by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, represents a “US-Israeli agreement fully reflecting the Israeli position.”

Al-Nakhala explained in a press statement that what was announced at the press conference “constitutes a recipe for continuing aggression against the Palestinian people,” adding: “What was announced at the press conference between Trump and Netanyahu is a US-Israeli agreement, expressing Israel’s entire stance, and it is a recipe for continuing aggression against the Palestinian people.”

He continued, “Thus, Israel is trying to impose through the United States what it could not achieve through war; therefore, we consider the US-Israeli announcement a recipe for igniting the region.”
