The final statement of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) meeting on Monday welcomed the Lebanese Cabinet’s decision to ensure that the possession of weapons is confined to the state throughout Lebanon.
It emphasized the “necessity of ending the Israeli occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.”
The GCC also welcomed the agreement to end the crisis in the Sweida Governorate, stressing the importance of its implementation to protect Syria, its unity, and its citizens.
