White House: Trump’s Gaza Plan Acceptable, Hamas Approval Expected
The White House revealed on Thursday evening the outlines of diplomatic moves led by President Donald Trump’s administration on two main fronts: ending the war in the Gaza Strip and addressing the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
The White House spokeswoman announced that President Trump and his team ‘worked tirelessly to develop a peace plan for Gaza,’ describing the current plan as ‘acceptable.’
The White House confirmed it expects Hamas to accept this plan ‘to move towards a more peaceful and stable Middle East,’ clearly indicating that the U.S. administration considers the ball is now in the Palestinian movement’s court to end the conflict.
Regarding the war in Ukraine, the White House emphasized that President Trump ‘put in tremendous effort and time’ to end the conflict, affirming he ‘made clear to both parties’ his desire to end the war.
Attention now turns to the Gaza Strip awaiting an official response from Hamas on the peace plan supported by Washington.
