The Central Bank of Egypt stated that the fiscal year 2024/2025 witnessed record flows in remittances from Egyptians working abroad, reaching about $36.5 billion, an increase of 66.2% compared to about $21.9 billion during the fiscal year 2023/2024.
Remittances also rose during the last quarter of the fiscal year 2024/2025 (April/June 2025) by 34.2% year-on-year to reach about $10.0 billion (compared to about $7.5 billion during April/June 2024).
On a monthly level, remittances in June achieved the highest monthly level ever recorded with an increase of 40.7% year-on-year to reach about $3.6 billion (compared to about $2.6 billion in June 2024).
