Egypt Post won membership in both the Board of Directors and the Postal Investment Council of the Universal Postal Union (UPU), in addition to securing the position of “Co-Chair” of the Supply Chain Committee under the Postal Investment Council of the Union. This achievement took place during the 28th Universal Postal Congress held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from September 8 to 19, 2025, under the theme “Leading Change to Shape the Future,” with representatives from 144 countries participating.
This victory clearly reflects the regional and international role Egypt Post has played over the past years through diligent work and active participation in UPU meetings and activities. Egypt Post received the support and trust of the majority of member countries after obtaining the highest voting percentages.
Ms. Dalia El-Baz, Chairperson of Egypt Post, stated that Egypt’s winning these positions within the UPU represents an international recognition of Egypt Post’s efficiency and reflects its continuous successes in developing infrastructure and automating all postal services. She pointed out that this achievement places an increased responsibility on Egypt Post to continue developing its system, enhancing its role as a key driver of economic development and supporter of e-commerce growth, as well as consolidating its position as a trusted channel for providing postal and financial services to citizens across the country.
Meanwhile, Ms. Nermin Hassan, Head of the International Cooperation Sector, indicated that the victory resulted from the international community’s confidence in Egypt Post’s role and its national cadres capable of competing and influencing. She explained that Egypt Post’s membership in both the Board and the Postal Investment Council gives Egypt a strong voice in shaping operational policies for global postal supply chains, contributes to developing international standards, integrating logistics networks, and supporting cross-border e-commerce.
