The President of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi, condemned the Israeli occupation’s escalation of a genocidal war and the horrific massacres committed against Palestinian civilians, as well as the systematic targeting of journalists, medical teams, and relief workers in the Gaza Strip. He warned that the continuation of this escalation would lead to increased tension and threaten international peace and security.
Al-Yamahi stated in a statement yesterday that the massacres committed by the occupation in the Nasser Medical Complex, which were broadcast live to the whole world, constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity in full. He pointed out that the occupation does not limit itself to brutal bombardment but implements policies of immediate extermination through massacres and slow genocide by preventing food, medicine, and humanitarian aid, leading to widespread famine, one of the most heinous crimes of the modern era.
He denounced the silence of the international community and called on the United Nations, the European Union, the International Federation of Journalists, and the International Committee of the Red Cross to assume their legal and moral responsibilities, pressure the occupation to stop the escalation, end the war, impose a ceasefire, and enter into a truce agreement.
The President of the Arab Parliament demanded urgent action from the International Criminal Court regarding these crimes, which fall under the category of genocide, and to prosecute those responsible as war criminals.
