The President of the Arab Parliament, Mohamed bin Ahmed Al-Yamahi, condemned the escalation by the Zionist occupation of a genocidal war against Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip, accompanied by horrific massacres and systematic targeting of journalists, medical, and relief teams. The Arab Parliament warned that the ongoing starvation policy, which has claimed many innocent civilian lives, will lead to further tension and threaten international peace and security. Al-Yamahi confirmed that the massacres committed at the Nasser Medical Complex, broadcast live to the world, constitute war crimes and crimes against humanity in full. He pointed out that the occupation does not only rely on brutal bombing but also on slow extermination policies by preventing food, medicine, and humanitarian aid, causing famine in one of the most heinous crimes of the modern era.
The Arab Parliament President considered the international community’s silence on these crimes a disgrace to humanity, calling on the United Nations, the European Union, the International Federation of Journalists, and the International Committee of the Red Cross to bear their legal and moral responsibilities and pressure the occupation to stop the war and reach a truce. Al-Yamahi also demanded freezing the occupation’s membership in all international organizations and unions and imposing urgent economic, political, and military sanctions on its leaders, alongside the International Criminal Court pursuing those responsible for these crimes classified under genocide and war crimes.
