The 11th edition of the Global Green Economy Summit is being held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, bringing together a distinguished group of decision-makers, officials, experts, innovators, and representatives from government institutions, the private sector, academia, media, and civil society from around the world.
The summit, organized by the Dubai Supreme Council of Energy, Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, and the Global Green Economy Organization, takes place on October 1-2 at the Dubai World Trade Centre under the theme “Impactful Innovation: Accelerating the Future of the Green Economy.”
Participants include Her Highness Dr. Shamma bint Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairwoman of the Board of Directors of Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan Cultural and Educational Institutions, former President of Finland Sauli Niinistö, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, and Minister of Climate Change and Environment Dr. Amina bint Abdullah Al Dhahak.
This year’s summit focuses on seven main pillars: technology and innovation, clean and renewable energy sources, policies and legislation, finance, climate justice, climate adaptation and resilience, and youth and climate action.
High-level sessions highlight the most impactful technical and practical solutions to combat climate change, emphasizing empowering developing communities, expanding partnerships between the public and private sectors, and enhancing international cooperation to build a more sustainable and inclusive future.
