The ‘Doctor’ maritime medical project, a joint initiative between Abu Dhabi Ports Group and Burjeel Holding, has donated 800,000 essential pills to Angola’s Ministry of Health to support the most vulnerable communities. The official handover included antibiotics, painkillers, and treatments for chronic diseases, attended by Angola’s Minister of Health Sylvia Lutuko, Mohamed Aida Al Menhali, Regional CEO of Abu Dhabi Ports Group, and Ambassador Ahmed, Co-CEO of Burjeel Holding, alongside official delegations from both countries. This donation will enhance the distribution of vital medicines and ensure their reach to those most in need, addressing major health challenges such as acidity disorders, diabetes, bacterial infections, allergies, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases. Ambassador Ahmed emphasized that the Doctor project embodies a firm commitment to expanding healthcare access in Africa by providing medicines and spreading reassurance and hope in needy communities.
The project focuses primarily on Africa, integrating logistics, standardized infrastructure, training, and emergency response within a comprehensive platform aligned with the UAE’s vision to support sustainable development and improve quality of life in partner countries.
