Israeli army forces penetrated at night into the town of Jibata Al-Khashab in the northern countryside of Quneitra, southwestern Syria, and arrested seven young men from the village, according to “Syrian News”.

The southern and southwestern regions of Syria have witnessed repeated Israeli incursions and attacks on village and town residents, with previous months recording numerous arrests.

According to Israeli army statements after these operations, they are neutralizing activities that pose a threat to Israeli presence originating from these areas since the fall of the previous Syrian regime last December.

On August 29, the Israeli army announced it had arrested several suspects involved in promoting terrorist activities against its forces during a series of night operations in southern Syria.

On that day, Israeli aircraft flew over the skies of Quneitra and Daraa provinces in southern Syria, coinciding with the incursion of military vehicles into areas in Quneitra countryside and the raid and search of a house.

The Israeli army has repeatedly announced the discovery of weapons during combing operations, adding that its forces continue to deploy in the area “to thwart the establishment of terrorist elements to ensure the security of Israeli citizens.”
