The ‘La Moda Italiana’ exhibition in its second edition leads the events of Dubai Fashion Week, held from September 1 to 6 at Dubai Design District. The ‘Italian Design Day in Dubai’ kicks off on September 3, featuring six of the most prominent Italian fashion houses showcasing their new Spring/Summer 2026 collections.

The event is organized by the Italian Trade Agency in collaboration with Dubai Fashion Week, with participation from the National Union of Handicraft and Small and Medium Enterprises in Italy and the Italian Association of Artisans and Small and Medium Enterprises, celebrating the spirit of ‘Made in Italy’ that blends fine craftsmanship with contemporary innovation.

The evening will feature successive shows starting with ‘VP by Valentina Poltronieri’ presenting vibrant youthful designs, followed by ‘Le Twins’ with lively feminine designs, then ‘Cose Di Maglia’ reinterpreting classic knitwear fashion.

‘Gil Santucci’ continues to showcase its distinctive modern style with geometric details, while ‘Avant Toi’ presents innovations based on modern fabrics and technologies, concluding with ‘Be Nina’ embodying the beauty of Italian haute couture.

Lorenzo Fanara, the Italian Ambassador to the UAE, confirmed that choosing the UAE as a platform to showcase Italian designs reflects its status as a pivotal luxury fashion market, noting that Italian fashion exports to the UAE grew by 18.8% during the first five months of this year, reaching 620 million euros.

Khadija Al Bastaki, First Vice President of TECOM Group, said that Dubai Design District strengthens creative bridges between Dubai and Italy through cooperation, consolidating the emirate’s position as a global destination for design and fashion.

The exhibition serves as an interactive platform bringing together designers, commercial entities, and media, reflecting the depth of cultural and economic partnership between the UAE and Italy, following the success of its first edition during Dubai Fashion Week last September.
