The Sharm El Sheikh Peace Summit on Monday witnessed a pivotal event, where President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and his counterparts, former US President Donald Trump, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, and Qatari Emir Tamim bin Hamad, signed a comprehensive document concerning an agreement to end the war in Gaza.
This signing crowns the intensive diplomatic efforts led by Egypt and the United States to halt the war in the Gaza Strip and open a new path toward peace and stability in the Middle East. The document is expected to set mechanisms to consolidate the ceasefire, ensure the sustainable entry of humanitarian aid, and initiate comprehensive reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
