The Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich’s incursion into the occupied Palestinian territories and his racist statements regarding the annexation of the West Bank and the prevention of establishing a Palestinian state, considering this a blatant violation of international law and a challenge to the international will supporting the “two-state solution.”
The ministry’s official spokesperson, Ambassador Fouad Al-Majali, said in a statement today, as reported by Petra Agency, that the Kingdom strongly rejects these incursions and statements, affirming that the absence of international accountability and impunity fuels the continuation of their aggressive actions and statements against the Palestinian people and leadership.
Al-Majali warned against the continuation of the Israeli government’s illegal unilateral measures and racist statements by Israeli officials aimed at imposing new facts by force, continuing to implement expansionist plans in the occupied West Bank, and escalating tensions in the region.
