The competent authorities continued today, Tuesday, to dispatch convoys of trucks loaded with humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. These trucks departed from the Rafah land crossing towards the Kerem Abu Salem crossing to deliver the aid to the Palestinian side.

A responsible source at the Rafah land crossing reported that dozens of trucks were moved today from the crossing’s secondary gate heading to Kerem Abu Salem crossing, as part of ongoing efforts to deliver aid.

The source indicated that on Monday, 133 trucks loaded with hundreds of tons of food supplies and essential medical materials were moved, including 37 trucks from the Egyptian Red Crescent, 23 trucks from the UAE, and 73 trucks from the United Nations.

The total number of trucks that entered through the Rafah crossing’s secondary gate since October 27 until Monday, August 18, reached 2441 trucks carrying nearly 17,000 tons of aid. This aid was provided by the Egyptian Red Crescent, the National Coalition for Developmental Civil Work, the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the United Nations, all under the supervision of the Egyptian Red Crescent.

In a related context, the Minister of Social Solidarity, Maya Morsi, announced that Egypt facilitated the entry of 550,000 tons of humanitarian aid, of which 75% were food materials and 25% were medical supplies, medicines, and relief materials. Additionally, 32,000 airdrop operations of food baskets were carried out for the residents of the Gaza Strip.

Egypt also received logistical teams, aircraft, and ships loaded with shipments, and more than 2 million cooked meals, over 1 million hot meals, and more than 750,000 dry meals were delivered in recent months to support the people of Gaza.
