Security forces have completed their preparations to secure the highly anticipated match between Egypt’s national team and Guinea-Bissau’s team at 10 PM next Sunday at Cairo International Stadium. This match is part of the tenth and final round of the African qualifiers for the 2026 World Cup, marking the official qualification journey for the national team.

Security personnel from the African group are deployed around Cairo Stadium to secure all aspects of the match. Specialized security teams have been formed to secure the main gates and fan entrances, with necessary measures taken to prevent the entry of prohibited items, especially fireworks and flares that could disrupt the match or threaten the safety of attendees.

They also secure the players’ and referees’ entry and exit pathways to ensure smooth movement inside the stadium throughout the sporting event, in addition to securing stadium facilities such as locker rooms and technical offices.

The security scope also extends to accompanying events, including a concert held on the Cairo Stadium grounds announced by United Sports Company. The concert will be performed by artists Hamada Helal and Ahmed Saad as part of a special celebration marking Egypt’s official qualification to the 2026 World Cup finals. The company stated on its official Facebook page: “History is being rewritten.. The qualification celebration awaits you.. Be part of the biggest event in an amazing atmosphere.”

ON Time Sports channel will broadcast the match live and provide comprehensive coverage through an analytical studio featuring former Egyptian football stars to analyze the technical and tactical aspects of the match and follow the festive atmosphere.

Egypt secured its official qualification to the World Cup after defeating Djibouti 3-0, a match highlighted by the brilliance of team captain Mohamed Salah, who scored two goals, alongside a third goal by player Ibrahim Adel. The team continued its positive results and secured the top spot in the group without any losses throughout the qualifiers.

Egypt hopes to continue delivering a strong performance in front of its fans at Cairo Stadium in a match that may have more of a celebratory nature than a competitive one, having secured the ticket to the upcoming World Cup. However, the coaching staff, led by the Pharaohs’ head coach, insists on ending the qualifiers with another victory to maintain the team’s undefeated record.

The security, technical, and organizational arrangements aim to ensure the match takes place in a safe and organized atmosphere, reflecting the status of Egyptian football and the history of Cairo Stadium in hosting major events, with an expected crowd supporting the national team and celebrating its World Cup qualification.
