Al-Ahram Gate presents the conditions and fees required to obtain a third-class professional driving license for the first time.

Conditions for Obtaining a Third-Class Professional Driving License

    • The applicant must be 21 years old or older.
    • Bring the original national ID card and a copy, ensuring the card is valid and not expired.
    • Provide four recent personal photos sized 4×6 cm.
    • Undergo and pass a medical examination, obtaining a medical report confirming the applicant’s fitness.
    • Provide a document proving military service status.
    • Provide an educational certificate proving the applicant’s qualification, whether it is a literacy certificate, intermediate, or higher qualification.
    • Submit a criminal record certificate (police clearance).
    • Provide approval from the applicant’s employer, whether government, public sector, or private sector.
    • Pass the theoretical and practical driving tests for the authorized vehicle.
    • Submit proof of membership in a labor union or its affiliates.
    • Provide proof of subscription to the General Authority for Social Insurance.
    • Applicants renewing their license must reside in the jurisdiction of the traffic department or unit providing the renewal service.
    • The professional driving license is issued to those whose profession is driving.
    • Pay all fees for the third-class professional driving license.

Fees for Obtaining a Professional Driving License

A fee of 540 Egyptian pounds is paid when obtaining the license for the first time, followed by 6.5 pounds for the Traffic Form 256.

10 pounds are paid for the oral test form, then 40 pounds for the test fees.

The total cost is approximately 600 Egyptian pounds.
