Meetings were held today in the Kingdom’s governorates to discuss preparations for participation in the third session of the King Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Work for the current year. Youth activities concluded in several governorates within the King Hussein Camps for Work and Construction 2025.
The Directorate of Youth in Balqa, in cooperation with the Maadi Al-Jadida Municipality, organized an introductory session about the award to enhance the culture of voluntary work among youth and local community members.
Award coordinator Rana Abu Hammour provided a detailed explanation about the award and its goals, aiming to establish and institutionalize voluntary work values and promote youth voluntary initiatives across the Kingdom. Registration has been open since June 28 and continues until the end of August.
She emphasized that the award, named after His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, reflects the Hashemite leadership’s interest in supporting voluntary work as a fundamental pillar in building active communities and purposeful initiatives.
Iman Al-Rayhani, Chairwoman of the Maadi Municipality Committee, confirmed the municipality’s active role in supporting and encouraging developmental initiatives, especially those integrating youth into voluntary work, translating the visions and directives of His Majesty the King and His Crown Prince in empowering youth and activating their developmental role.
The session witnessed great interaction from attendees, including municipality employees and local community members, who raised many inquiries about registration mechanisms, criteria, and participation conditions, all answered by the award coordinator.
In Ma’an Governorate, Governor Khaled Al-Hajjaj discussed with the executive council members the preparations of government agencies to participate in the third edition of the King Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Work and ways to motivate individuals and institutions to participate.
During the meeting held in the governorate hall, the award’s goals, fields, and categories were reviewed, emphasizing the importance of promoting the culture of voluntary work within government institutions, especially among youth, to instill values of giving and active citizenship.
Al-Hajjaj affirmed the importance of voluntary work in serving the homeland and society, praising the award’s role in motivating volunteers and encouraging institutional and individual voluntary initiatives. He called on all government departments in Ma’an to engage positively and participate actively, showcasing their voluntary initiatives within an organized institutional framework.
He directed the need to intensify efforts and activate all available capabilities to promote the award and its goals to ensure motivating the largest number of employees and community members to participate and apply.
Meanwhile, within the King Hussein Camps for Work and Construction 2025, the Directorate of Youth in Irbid concluded today the activities of the E-commerce camp held at the Taybeh Girls Center, organized by the Ministry of Youth under the slogan “Amman, Capital of Arab Youth” in partnership with the Jordan Post Company.
The five-day camp, with the participation of 15 young people, aimed to equip participants with the basic skills and knowledge to start and develop their projects in e-commerce, including creating online stores, managing marketing campaigns, analyzing data, and learning modern digital marketing strategies.
Trainer Engineer Abdulrahman Sidqa explained the concept of e-commerce, its types, importance, differences from traditional commerce, and components of an online store to build a comprehensive understanding among participants about this vital and evolving field.
Khaled Abu Zaid, head of the camp’s supervisory authority, said the e-commerce camp represents a strategic step to enable Jordanian youth to keep pace with the rapid digital transformation, equipping them with the necessary skills to create and manage successful electronic business projects, contributing to enhancing the national economy and creating sustainable job opportunities.
