The Medical Professions Union praised the convening of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit with the participation of world leaders, reflecting Egypt’s pivotal position and its historic role in consolidating the foundations of regional and international security and stability.

The union confirmed that signing the ceasefire agreement in Gaza during the summit represents a milestone towards establishing a just and comprehensive peace, enhancing opportunities for sustainable development and protecting peoples from the ravages of conflict and violence.

It pointed out that Egypt hosting this summit in the City of Peace – Sharm El-Sheikh reflects global confidence in Egyptian leadership and its ability to bring together parties and unify the international front in facing challenges threatening the stability of the region and the world, affirming that Egypt has been and remains a fundamental pillar of peace and a voice of wisdom and rationality.

The Medical Professions Union expressed its full support for all efforts exerted by the Egyptian state and its national institutions to establish peace, affirming that the Egyptian professional and medical forces always stand behind the state in its endeavors to achieve security, peace, and development for the peoples of the region.
