Emirates Central Cooling Systems Corporation (Empower), the world’s largest district cooling service provider, signed a contract to design a new cooling plant at Dubai Science Park with a production capacity of approximately 47,000 refrigeration tons to meet the needs of about 80 multi-use buildings in the area. This step is part of Empower’s expansion strategy to meet the growing demand for district cooling services in key locations in Dubai. Construction is expected to begin at the end of the first quarter of 2026.
