Axios correspondent Barak Ravid reported that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a phone call to Qatar’s Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, during which he apologized for violating Qatari sovereignty in the strike targeting Doha, expressing regret over the death of a Qatari security guard.
The call took place while Netanyahu was meeting with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House.
According to a diplomatic source, “the call was initiated by Trump and the discussions involved all three parties.”
Separately, Hebrew sources indicated that a comprehensive agreement might not be announced this evening, and Trump may limit himself to announcing preliminary understandings with Netanyahu after their meeting.
