The Riyadh Municipality continues its monitoring campaign on cafes and beverage outlets in the capital, having closed more than 10 violating lounges since the start of the inspection rounds. Social media circulated images of closed establishments with closure notices on their doors. These regulatory efforts, carried out by Riyadh Municipality in cooperation with relevant authorities, are part of intensive campaigns aimed at protecting public health and ensuring these establishments comply with municipal and health requirements. The campaign, launched last week, resulted in detecting 26 violations threatening public health in several beverage outlets, leading to the closure of two establishments due to serious violations. According to the municipality’s previous statement, the campaign followed intensive inspection rounds and multiple reports received via the ‘Madinyti’ app, indicating various violations including poor hygiene, employing workers without necessary health certificates, and other practices compromising consumer safety.
