Brazilian newspaper O Globo reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping have built relations allowing their countries to challenge the US-dominated global order.

Analysts from the Brazilian paper pointed out that the relations between the leaders of Russia and China aim to “demonstrate their close connection as leaders of an alternative world order that already challenges the United States.”

At the same time, according to analysts’ estimates, the trilateral conversation between Putin, Xi Jinping, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi before the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit confirmed that US President Donald Trump’s policies only contribute to strengthening alliances aimed at overcoming dependence on the United States.

The Wall Street Journal previously reported that the leaders of Russia, China, and India—Vladimir Putin, Xi Jinping, and Narendra Modi—showed unity at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit, sending a “strong signal” to the United States.

The Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit was held in Tianjin from August 31 to September 1. Leaders from more than 20 countries and representatives of 10 international organizations participated. Following the summit, 15 new cooperation documents were signed.
