According to the agency, the summit aims to rally additional international support for the US peace plan concerning the Gaza Strip, where significant challenges remain regarding post-war arrangements, security, and reconstruction efforts.
Sources indicate that Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi is organizing the summit and has contacted several European and Arab leaders to invite them to participate.
The summit is expected to be attended by leaders or foreign ministers from Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Qatar, the UAE, Jordan, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan, and Indonesia.
An American official stated that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will not attend the summit at this time.
