Karnak Temple in Luxor witnessed a notable tourism revival last week, welcoming over 17,000 visitors from various countries around the world, indicating the continued appeal of Egypt’s archaeological destinations amid relatively mild temperatures in the governorate.

A responsible source at the temple told “Al-Shorouk” newspaper that the tourist movement showed great diversity in nationalities, including delegations from the United States, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Britain, and Russia, as well as visitors from Arab and African countries and some Egyptians.

The source pointed out that the peak visiting hours are between 7 AM and 12 noon, rising again after 4 PM, confirming that the improved weather conditions clearly contributed to activating tourism at the temple.

Karnak Temple is one of the most important and largest religious complexes in the ancient world and still maintains its status as one of the most prominent tourist destinations globally, supported by the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities to develop services and improve the visitor experience in line with international standards.
