In an interview on the “Judging Freedom” channel on YouTube, Diesen said: “We hear the German Chancellor talking about creating a large army to fight the Russians, and there is talk of seizing Russian ships — which is an act of war. Now we hear public statements about carrying out strikes deep inside Russian territory, operations that cannot happen without our participation, which is also an act of war. Ben Wallace in Britain also declared that we must choke the Crimean Peninsula and make it uninhabitable. We have crossed the line between proxy war and direct military confrontation.”

Professor Diesen added: “Europe has no chance of defeating the world’s largest nuclear power, which will defend its existence with all its might against any threat.”

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russia is open to dialogue with NATO but on the basis of equality, stressing that the West must abandon the policy of militarizing the continent.
