The signing ceremony was attended by the late Shadhili Al-Qalibi’s daughter, the person responsible for his library, and a group of officials from the National Library.
Yesterday, Tuesday, the Director General of the National Library, Khaled Kachir, visited the residence of the widow of the former minister Shadhili Al-Qalibi, Kalthoum Al-Asram, in the Carthage suburb to sign an agreement under which the late’s family donated his private library to the National Library.
The Ministry of Culture stated that the library of the former minister Shadhili Al-Qalibi includes diverse and rich references that add to the national collection which the National Library works to preserve and make available to researchers and readers.
The late had built this vast collection throughout his life during which he held several positions including Minister of Culture, Minister of Information, Minister and Director of the Presidential Office, and also served as Secretary-General of the Arab League.
