Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan praised “the efforts and leadership shown by U.S. President Donald Trump to stop the bloodshed in Gaza and ensure a ceasefire.”

This was stated in a post on his account on the Turkish platform “In Social” on Monday.

The Turkish president’s post said: “Turkey will continue to contribute to the process of establishing a just and lasting peace accepted by all.”

Earlier on Monday, Trump outlined in a press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the key points of his 20-article plan to stop the war, including the release of Israeli prisoners and the disarmament of the Hamas movement.
