The Dubai Land Department has launched the first phase of the “Digital Sale Service” through the “Dubai Now” app, during its participation in GITEX Global 2025. This achievement reflects the emirate’s commitment to achieving the goals of the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033 by establishing new standards for speed, reliability, and efficiency in real estate transactions, aligning with Dubai’s ambitions to build a sustainable digital knowledge economy.

The service, which shapes the future of real estate, offers a qualitative leap in transaction completion by enabling customers to complete the sale and registration procedures entirely digitally via the “Dubai Now” app, using electronic signature through the digital identity (UAE Pass), from anywhere and at any time, 24/7. This is in implementation of Dubai Government directives to launch services through shared channels.

This service reinforces the department’s role in reshaping the buying, selling, and registration experience for individual customers by simplifying procedures, accelerating completion, and ensuring the highest levels of security, trust, and transparency. This enhances the attractiveness of real estate investment in Dubai and reflects the emirate’s commitment to providing proactive and smart services that elevate the competitiveness of its real estate market and support its position as a global destination for sustainable investment.

The digital sale service offers a fully remote journey starting with creating the sales contract electronically. The seller signs it and sends it to the buyer via the platform to complete their signature. Then, the buyer transfers the amount to the service’s account, and the process is immediately completed by issuing the ownership deed in their name directly through the app, in an integrated digital experience that simplifies procedures and ensures the highest levels of security and reliability.

Given the exceptional performance witnessed by the real estate sector in recent years, the digital sale service enhances this momentum and contributes to sustaining growth in the coming phase by opening new horizons towards 100% integrated digital services and providing an environment that encourages real estate innovation, reinforcing Dubai’s leadership in attracting global investments.

To ensure smooth completion of digital sale transactions via the “Dubai Now” app, the Dubai Land Department has set a number of conditions, including that both the seller and buyer hold a valid UAE ID card, have an activated account on the digital identity system (UAE PASS) that allows approved electronic signatures, that the property is within freehold areas, and belongs to residential, commercial units, or townhouse categories, that there is a bank account inside the country, that the property is not under any mortgage, and that it is owned by a single owner.

It is worth noting that the “Dubai Now” app, the unified platform for individual services in the city, allows users to access more than 350 services provided by 50 government and private entities, and can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.
