Dr. Ahmed Karima, Professor of Comparative Jurisprudence at Al-Azhar University, stated that the national rallying around President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is an “obligation” and not merely recommended or optional. He added in a televised statement on Al-Hadath Al-Youm channel that President Sisi “fulfilled the prophecy of our Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him,” citing the prophetic hadith that says “There will be tribulations in which the western soldiers will be the safest,” clarifying that the western soldiers refer to the Egyptian army.

He called to look at regional countries such as Yemen, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Sudan, and Lebanon, saying: “All of them have torn apart except the Egyptian people, and the best soldiers on earth are the Egyptian army.” He referenced the Quranic verse from Surah Al-Qasas: “And you were not on the western side when We decreed to Moses the command, nor were you among the witnesses,” referring to the western side of Mount Sinai where Moses received the Torah. He saluted the best soldiers on earth, the civil police, Al-Azhar, and the Egyptian church.

He described President Sisi as the “Builder of Modern Egypt,” saying: “We ask God for guidance and correctness behind the builder of the new modern Egypt, President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.” He concluded with a quote from Imam Ahmad ibn Hanbal: “By God, I am a scholar at Al-Azhar University and a professor of comparative jurisprudence, and I say what my master Ahmad ibn Hanbal said, may God be pleased with him: If I had an answered prayer, I would dedicate it to the Sultan.. I testify that if I had an answered prayer, I would dedicate it to President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi who preserved the unity of the country and its people.”
