Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, is participating in the “Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit” held tomorrow, Monday, under the chairmanship of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and former U.S. President Donald Trump.
The summit inaugurates a ceasefire agreement in Gaza between Israel and Hamas as a first step to end the war and rebuild the Gaza Strip based on the Trump plan.
Jamal Rushdi, the official spokesperson for the Arab League Secretary-General, conveyed Aboul Gheit’s statement that the agreement represents the beginning of the path towards stopping the bloodshed, restoring normal life, rebuilding Gaza, and opening a path to realize the two-state solution.
Aboul Gheit expressed his thanks to Egypt and the United States for their significant role in stopping the genocidal war in Gaza and appreciated the sincere mediation efforts made by Qatar and Turkey to stop the Palestinian bloodshed.
