Seoul: “Al Khaleej”
The “Bridge” delegation arrived in the Korean capital, Seoul, on its third stop of the Asian tour that included Shanghai, China, and Osaka, Japan, as part of the preparations for the “Bridge Summit 2025” scheduled to be held in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi from December 8 to 10. The summit will bring together elite media, cultural, artistic content creators, and decision-makers from around the world.
The delegation was headed by Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Butti Al Hamed, Chairman of the National Media Office and Chairman of the Board of the UAE Media Council, and included Dr. Jamal Al Kaabi, Director General of the National Media Office. The visit took place from August 4 to 6 and included a series of meetings with representatives of several Korean companies specialized in the media sector, digital industries, creative technology, animation, film production, and content creation.
Global Platform
Abdullah Al Hamed confirmed that the UAE is continuing to consolidate its position as a global platform for media cooperation and building qualitative partnerships with friendly countries. He pointed out that the “Bridge Summit” reflects this approach by bringing together global media leaders, noting that the “Bridge Tour” in Seoul holds special importance as it takes place in one of the most advanced countries in creative industries and digital media.
He said the summit aims to enhance the capabilities of media institutions to develop proactive policies and strategies that improve their readiness to deal with rapid changes in the media landscape, serving their goals of providing purposeful and responsible content. He confirmed that the participation of Korean media institutions in the summit and media exhibition represents an important opportunity to exchange experiences, transfer knowledge, and showcase the latest technological innovations.
Building Partnerships
The delegation met with Kim Tae Kyun, First Deputy Mayor of Seoul for Administrative Affairs, in the presence of Abdullah Saif Al Nuaimi, UAE Ambassador to South Korea. The meeting discussed ways to build long-term partnerships supporting the mission of the “Bridge Summit” to bring together specialists in creative media from around the world.
The visit included meetings with representatives of several Korean companies in various sectors and presentations on the strategic importance of the summit and its role in enhancing international dialogue and shaping the future of global media. The delegation invited representatives of Korean companies to attend the summit and participate in its activities next December.
The delegation also met with Bruce S. Lee, Head of Marketing and Investor Relations at iOn Communications, who presented developments in unstructured data management and digital marketing. Meanwhile, John Jong Kyum Kim, Senior Counsel at Dentons, discussed upcoming regulatory frameworks for artificial intelligence and responsible innovation.
In the gaming and entertainment sector, DK Kim, CEO of Loot Calivers, presented an interactive 3D entertainment and shopping platform aimed at radically transforming audience vision through virtual experiences.
